The exhibition of 30 photographs from the 11th Prague Quadrennial Exhibition of Scenography and Theatre Architecture is a reminder of the world’s largest exhibition of theatre design that took place in June 2007 in Prague. The exhibition travels to Stockholm, Sweden, to be a part of the NoTT 2008 international design exhibition and conference of Northern countries. In addition to the photo exhibition, Jan Štěpánek, one of the Czech Republic’s leading designers, will conduct a presentation about contemporary Czech scenography, entitled “Summing Up: My Latest Work in Theatre Design.”

The main theme of NoTT 08 is “Digital Technique”, and presentations on modern theatre technology will be a part of the entire programme of events during the conference, in addition to dozens of seminars from all fields of theatre design, architecture and education. NoTT 08 will take place from May 29th until June 1st at the Riksteatern, Hallunda. More information can be found at www.sttf.se

The PQ 07 photo exhibition will then travel to the international conference on the relationship between performance art and design in Helsinki in mid-June, and then return to Sweden where it will be on display at the international meeting of scenographers and theatre architects. The exhibition is planned to travel to be a part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will also be on display in Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and Poland.
